Who is responsible

What we collect
- Contact and scholarship forms: name, email, phone (optional) and the message you write.
- Student account: name, email, password (hashed, we never see it) and your course progress: which lessons you completed and when.
- Purchases: what we need to issue your receipt. We do not store card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and pages visited, in server logs, for security and troubleshooting.
What we use it for
- Answering your questions and reviewing scholarship requests.
- Giving you access to the courses you bought and saving your progress so you can pick up where you left off.
- Issuing receipts and meeting tax obligations.
- Keeping the service secure and running.
We will not send you marketing without your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. These providers process it on our behalf, only for the purposes above:
- Google (Google Drive and YouTube): lesson videos stream from their servers. When you watch one, Google receives your IP and may apply its own privacy policy. We use youtube-nocookie where possible.
- Meta (Facebook pixel): present in the legacy student area. It only runs if you accept measurement cookies.
- Our hosting provider, where the server and backups live.
If legally required by an authority, we will hand over only what is strictly demanded.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: up to 12 months after they are resolved.
- Account and progress: as long as the account exists. You can ask us to delete it.
- Receipts: as long as applicable tax law requires.
- Server logs: 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and to receive a portable copy. Write to aprende@tuescueladeingles.net from your account email; we reply within 30 days. If you live in the EU or in a US state with its own privacy law, you also have the rights that law grants you.
Security
The whole site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed. We take daily backups, and server access is restricted and logged.
Minors
Courses are intended for people aged 16 and over. If someone younger registered without permission, write to us and we will remove the account.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. For significant changes we will email you before they take effect.
